One popular way to make money online, is by using Google’s Adsense program . As an Adsense advertiser you get a piece of the Huge revenue Google makes from its Adwords program. How it works is really quite simple, whenever a visitor of your site clicks a Googe ad, you get paid. How much you get paid for each click varies quite a bit and is based on the competitiveness of the keyword (and your site) within the Google Adwords system.

The content network is a network of Web sites run by individuals and organizations that include AdSense on their websites. An example of this is About.com. Advertisers have the choice of advertising on the entire content network, or targeted sites. Your site will become a part of this content network. You can define keyword for your site, or Google will crawl it and determine relevant ads itself. When your visitors click a Google ad, the advertiser pays Google, and Google pays you.
What makes this more interesting is that advertisers don’t pay to have their adverts show up on either Google or separate content sites, but instead pay when the ads are clicked by customers, what we call “pay per click” or PPC. AdSense is simple, easy to accomplish, you don’t even have to negotiate (or even talk) with advertisers, but every month or two, you get a nice little check from Google corporate.
The Google Adsense program has had a good history of being very success for many businesses. And of course there is always still opportunities to make money from Google in this way. However, many Internet Marketers are finding that Google Adsense is no longer as profitable to monetize as many other advertising options that are available. That is not to say that Internet Marketers are no longer using Google to make a lot of money, we can rely on that for awhile yet. Internet Marketers still rely very much on Googles tools and Power to generate traffic.
